Take a nice floral still life and just rough it up a bit to bring about the grittier, more streetwise sibling. I am very short sighted and without my glasses things have fuzzy edges and lots of blurs, and it is indeed a paradox that I prefer to paint florals that end up looking like my distorted vision version.
Say It With Flowers II is a bright floral with a somewhat aged stance against a greeny yellowy aged backdrop. The 2.5cm edge is painted gold. I've used gold leaf for some aged glory.
